Activities at home

Hope you are all well and keeping safe!
We have some information and links to support home learning during these difficult times.

Den building
During these times of staying safe at home, why not build yourselves a den!?
Den building promotes many Characteristics of Effective Learning, such as:
*Thinking of ideas and testing them
*Finding ways to solve problems
*Finding new ways to do things
*Planning ahead and changing strategy if needed
*Engage in open ended play
*Keeping on trying, persisting with challenge
It’s fun, exciting, a great learning and doing experience and promotes speech/language, role-play, imagination and can be done in the comfort of your own home.
Let’s get building!

Pom-Pom Chicks
In this time of unprecedented protocols and social distancing, many parents are looking for ways to occupy their children at home all day. Rather than turning to screens for an easy babysitter, there are many creative and educational activities that can keep children productively happy without fancy art supplies.
For example, with only some yarn and a fork you can make a host of pompom chicks to celebrate spring!
